Ed Gandara

Ed is a local photographer living in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Originally from Montebello, CA, Ed began his photography experience while growing up, taking photographs during his High School hiking club trips with a Kodak Instamatic Camera. Eventually Ed graduated to a Pentax SLR film Camera and began to polish his photography. After enlisting in the U.S. Air Force in 1977 and getting stationed in Alaska. Ed’s photographic experience expanded to wildlife , winterscapes, Northern lights and grand landscapes. After getting married & leaving the Air force 1981, Ed returned home and started a family. His photography became the typical “ family vacation photography. Sports photography came into play when his 2 children began to play youth sports. Ed didn’t get serious about photography until he and his wife began to travel extensively without their children who were now in high school and college . After getting a Nikon digital camera as a gift from his wife ( she got tired of him carrying rolls of film), Ed developed a passion to pursue photography at a higher photographic world.

Ed attended Tri-Community Adult photography School in Covina CA. where he learned the art of studio photography on-camera and off-camera lighting as well as digital editing. Ed now spends his time as a professional photography , shoots events and musical performances, portraits and sporting events. Being retired, he now travels throughout the country and internationally pursuing his original passion, shooting landscapes , wildlife and a variety of lifestyles.
