Jim Balderrama

A California born and raised watercolor artist. Jim has been painting for over 50 years. he mostly self taught, but has from local artist, Ken Decker. His mentor is Zoltan Szabo who he had the pleasure of meeting . Jim recently created an exciting technique he calls “ Torn Paper Watercolor” This gives texture and dimension to the painting. He hand tears thousands of pieces of newspaper to create his paintings . He has started creating christian works of art using bible scripture from vandalized bibles. Jim enjoys the challenge of this intricate work . He is currently an artist member of The Pomona Valley Art Association and Gallery SOHO in Claremont CA.
